stone colored glass

I often think about the past
it’s like looking through stone colored glass
hazy, and filled with trauma, a cold place
inside my chest
lingering among flowers, thought and feeling
reconcile me
in two drops of love
they cascade from the leaves of my heart, while
I spend time looking above
finding blue in the mist, as feelings
are renewed
of the love that’s always shined through me and you

Love the first few lines, I could feel the coldness and the image used with your poetry amplifies that.

If looking back can make us move ahead even stronger, then pain is never wasted. It simply increases the sanctity of love. Lovely way of expressing the power of healing. Congratulations Jeff! 🙂
