Those Moments of Living with Myself

The Earth
of my Being
as if is splitting
into parts
yet again

Dry lands
of my emotions
as if fueling
Fires
of my thoughts

Wildfires spreading
no tears raining
to feel the wet
some churning felt

Ice blocks
of my poetry
as if thawing
trickling
through the cracks

Rivers stagnant
of rejoice
as if flowing
yet sludge still

Winds of my Being
as if feel
the pulsation
of Earth
from core
to all parts
on surface

Forest of my heart
as if cries
incredulously
how the hell
Earth holds up
as one whole

Minefield of my mind
struggles
to hold together
all lands of me

Where the hell
is she
who knows
how to
go beyond
this mind

Beautifully written. It seems that a love has been lost and there are reminders everywhere of suffering. I really enjoyed these lines:

    “Ice blocks
    of my poetry
    as if thawing
    trickling
    through the cracks”

Lovely writing, congratulations on your publication. Joni
