………listening to Paganini The day approaches, the night has gone, and the light of all those suns is climbing the peaks of the far mountains. Who will pick up the darkness, fold it like a blanket and lay it at the foot of the bed? Where have those hours gone? Where has the laughter gone now the light of all those suns is climbing the peaks of the far off mountains? Who has scared away our sing-songs, scattered our verses? The shadows are walking slowly back to bed. The echoes slip beneath the stones atop the earth, to linger where the light of all those suns has never reached. Footsteps follow the pilgrims as they walk back to their hymns, incense and masses. Back to the mossy trail that leads to ragged peaks. We’ll have to climb those peaks to find the place to unfold the darkness, to find our time, congeal the sadness, and see more peaks on the horizon. Can’t you see we need release from all this madness? The day approaches, the nightingales have flown. the larks are singing and the bed is still undone. I must have dreamed of coming home because I never left... All sickness ends with cures miraculous three seconds before we die, and the soul is healed, though the eyes have closed. The pact is sealed. Copyright © Francisco Bravo Cabrera on the 11th of April 2023, in Valencia, Spain, All Rights Reserved

Francisco this is so beautiful. Your phrases are absolutely stunning as are your choices of subjects in this piece. The painting is an incredible piece. What a brilliantly written poem that touches the very heart of all of us. The painting is especially bold and creative.
