I saw you at a carnival
when young
and afraid of the dark
 
a cinematic encore
took place
vis-à-vis mutli-language
discourse —
dressed in ephemeral beauty, dripping
through sheets of silk
 
toward a stage
made up of dreams
and of hollowed-out wood
where emotions were
displaced
by the sanctity of your touch
and by the delicacy of your grace
