“Love during Ice Storm” by Julie A. Dickson

Crystals form from heated breath,
my love and I entwined – cannot tell
where each appendage ends
windshield glazed over, translucent
light outlines shape of birds, nay
doves on the wing, raptured
frenzied flight to ecstasy we reach
for lips, caress down long spines
a-tingle, my eyes see clouds
on glass, icy privacy laced in song
waltz plays as bodies dance
to a tune only lovers hear
