and just when you thought solitude
is what you need to live and survive
what if, it’s but a mere illusion?

in fact,

there isn’t stillness in seclusion?
there isn’t freedom in liberation?
there isn’t hope in ambition?

‘cos, no matter what you do

the war is in your head
the rage is in your soul
the inferno is in your heart

and, peace is just

a product of your imagination
a manufactured information 
a fabricated deception

go, fight

the demon in your head
the evil under your bed
the culprit that said

“you are not good enough and you will never be”

accept the challenge

spring up. climb.
rise up. grow.

prove them all wrong.

unlock your fullest potential.

Michelle has authored eight books «After – Rain Skies: A Million Stars» for Perak Women for Women Society (PWW), Ipoh, Perak Malaysia, during their One Million Stars To End Violence campaign, «What If Snowflakes Don’t Fall In Winter,» «Oh, Dear One!», «I Would Fly To Where You Are,» and her Amazon best-selling poetry books «I Will Love You Forever, Too,» «After Rain Skies, Second Edition,» «It Ain’t Winning IF Without You,» and «I Am In Itself Poetry In The Dark.»

Graduated with a Master’s of Education and majoring in English in the Philippines (University of San Agustin, Iloilo City). Michelle was a former college professor, teaching literature, speech & oral communication, creative writing, drama, and theatre arts. She is also a graduate of Mass Communications major in Journalism (Centro Escolar University, Manila).

She is a published author at Spillwords NYC, where her poems «What If Snowflakes Don’t Fall in Winter?», «Kiss» and «Love Dance» were all nominated as publication of the month for July 2020, August 2020, and May 2021, respectively. Her poem, «Holding Hands,» was Spillwords’ November 2021 Publication of the Month and became Publication of the Year Nominee for 2021. Her poem «Again» was published on three platforms, on MEDIUM -an International Writers and Readers Space, AFRICA WRITERS CARAVAN, and at WOMAWORDS LITERARY PRESS In June 2021. Some of her poems were also published in other international literary magazines and journals.
