(Listening to Cliff Jordan…….)
Can I speak to the morning and tell the sun where he should rise?
Can I travel to the origins of the sea, the place of her birth,
and walk beneath her deep, deep waters,
and within the darkness
gaze upon her face?
Can I see beyond the gates of death and sense her power, feel her strength,
caress her sorrows, touch the wound, judge humanity, feel consumed?
And can I slide through the veil, see through the glass,
and understand the vast expanse of Mother Earth?
Can I explain the reason for my birth?
Do I know where your brilliance and light resides and where does darkness hide?
Can I make them follow the designs of my will?
Can I make them leave me?
and if their burden is too heavy,
can I slip into forever and remain a ghost who never understands?
God!
I am sure that you should know!
I am sure since you’re quite old,
you’ve many years.
You’ve lived a million years!
Me!
I am not worthy,
I have no words,
perhaps I spoke too soon,
but I’ve no reply.
This is all I can say…

I graduated from Florida International University (FIU) and began my career in the arts in Miami, Florida by opening my studio/gallery Omnia Caelum Studios Miami in 2003. My first professional exhibition was at PG Gallery in Istanbul, Turkey. From there I exhibited in Spain, New York and Florida, therefore I have exhibited professionally in North America, Europe and Asia. My paintings and drawings are in private collections all over the world. My work represents the results of my artistic quest to develop, without the need of a “style”, but with the need to communicate and to transmit a message of power and light to all. Now I operate my studio/gallery in Spain, renaming it Omnia Caelum Studios Valencia.

Sound very much like, an existential, crisis, not knowing, how to, define your self, but don’t worry, I’m certain, that you will, figure it all, out…

Francis, first what a beautiful piece to accompany this truly gorgeous write which I so easily can relate too. The flow of this poem with the accompanying rhyme along with the rhythm is so well orchestrated. Questions that run through the souls of many believers, and so many of them addressed here for us to relate too. I love the symbolism in this art piece, the Bull has so many meanings in the Bible but especially the symbol of great strength. The apple or the fruit in the lower left corner could mean that which started the world of sin with Adam and Eve. The tear on the face, the sadness of the turmoil that many believers go through. The world not the easiest place to be these days. Romans 3:10 «as it is written: ‘None is righteous, no, not one;» I often think of how unworthy I am. The crosses on the foreheads a sign of redemption. I just have to remind myself on a regular basis how very grateful I am for God’s Grace. BRAVO Francis – what a treat to read your poetry here along side one of your highly inspirational pieces. Showcasing your multiple talents. Have a blessed weekend you two, big hugs to you both, Joni

I read no crisis in this, I get an honest sense of a human speaking thru his spirit. I think this piece is wonderful and spoke volumes in just a few words. You touched my heart and spirit. Thank you!

Very real questions, and I for one am grateful I don’t have all the solutions or answers to them! I am not enough, but God is…and out of all things in this world, He created a YOU…and a ME! Eloquently written, Francisco! 💞💞💞
