“Threads” by Jeff Flesch

I look for you in the sky

and find you

before the sun

can eclipse the stars

outlined

by a heart shattered

into pieces of love

transformed

into a wondering

about

the nature of life

within

a head filled with ideas

held together

by threads of pain, and promise

left

beside the shore

where you left me

and, yet

I call out to you once more

  2. A most wonderful work, crafted, polished and made beautiful by Jeff. In particular, this part of the poem: «…transformed into a wondering about the nature of life within a head filled with ideas…», is my favourite because our heads might be full of ideas, but to express them in such a fine manner is art. I congratulate Masticadores USA for bringing us the quality of work that they do and in particular for this brilliant poet, as well as all the others. Cheers Barbara.

I truly hope that your Holiday will be filled with thanks and joy. Many of us have memories that can taint the holidays with sadness. My husband lost his mother two years ago and she was the one who always made Christmas so special. We know celebrate the day guiltily giving thanks to God. We plan to go to the movies and see James Cameron’s Avatar. I am so glad God has blessed you with a year full of success and that you have been recognized for your beautiful writing. Sending you lots of love and prayers for more joy to come. 🦋🤗🌹🥰🙏🙏
