Plum Trees

by Jeff Flesch, Monthly Contributor

plum trees always take
my breath away

as in their shade, we play
with notions of hope and trust

and a little bit of the magic seen
within the last bunch

of flowers
from the tree

they always relate to me, and all the things
I’ve been and seen

far away from this dream, and
the effects of the love in between

you, and me
