rainbow trim

folded end over end, like a piece
of steel

with rainbow trim

a fascinating deluge of colors
vibrant and felt within

my heart

it beats to a steady rhythm, resonating
with the loss and suffering we’ve all
been

through
as past and present experiences coalesce
into you

and I transpire
like a leaf wafting in the breeze, awaiting

the dawn’s new view

This reminds me of a rainbow metaphor, that life through its ups & downs, shapes into a rainbow! And the last line, that awakens like hope on a new breeze! Wonderful, Jeff!💜♥️💖✨🌈🦚

I love the contrast of steel and rainbow trim. Isn’t that what life is all about? We are extremes within ourselves and that is what is fascinating about the human nature. Always waiting for the new dawn… Beautiful writing, Jeff. 🙂
