I am Poetry

For many years
My life felt aimless
Drifting like a cork,
Or a rudderless boat
But, you showed me…
Words can open portals of hope
Letters & syllables as keys
Unlocking a life, I only dreamed
You said come…
Write what your heart sees
Feel my ink describe sunshine
Cry with me heartache’s loss
The weight of words carry a cost
For I, have become poetry
And poetry now burns within me
@David Garcia
This beautiful poem was written by David after Victoria Onofrei of Radio Bloomsbury interviewed me in June. David listened to the interview and got inspired. I am truly delighted.

This is beautifully written. I love the way you describe so lovely the need to be part of your poetry, consumed by the need and becoming poetry itself.
