Oh Rose

Love bursts open
when your aromatic scent
fills the room.
Heads turn
Taking in
your beauty
and adornment.
You are a show stopper.
Your crown delights guests,
as royalty hails your name.
Chairs are pulled out
and the red carpet stretches
to the entree of love.
Your soft scented petals
cascades the runway
of our hearts.
Oh Rose,
my heart opens
and skips a beat
when I hear your name.
Sweet surrender,
to your elegance and grace,
as you light up the room.
And your scent
wafts across
the ocean breeze.
Oh Rose!
