under an open sun…

I rise from the depths of the sea, surmising all
I’ve seen, in-between the pain handed down,
and the joy,
drowned
into
a special
place in my heart,
conveying
the
current reality, stark,
at times
as dreams
go by, while we watch from the
sidelines
thinking much, clouds float under the breath of
an open gust, taking me on a journey
back to an open heart
where
there
is trust,
as love bourgeons
under an open sun…

Nature would be so impressed and appreciate these beautiful end lines
Reminds me of the flamboyant tree when it blooms with a flame red flowers under the sun
Melancholy taking on a majestic journey.
Wonderful offerings Jeff ♥♥

Good evening to you, my dear Abi. Thank you from my whole heart for this most lovely comment. Your perspective always means so much to me. I love your lines about the flamboyant tree. That’s so lovely. Have a wonderful evening, my dearest friend. 💝💝

I’m always challenged and delighted to form a perspective of your poetry. I often don’t know if I’m hitting target. For many years i lived very close to a flamboyant tree which bloomed majestically in our tropical summer.
Enjoy the rest of your day my dear. Thank you♥♥

This poem has a peaceful meditative quality to it. A long exhale of what we cannot control and a breathing in of beauty, acceptance, and love. 💓

What a pure journey back to that place of openness. I love how patient the speaker is waiting for the clouds to drift then back. Thank you for sharing this journey. The title speaks volumes as well.

I could linger for long with these words before moving on to the full poetry – brought up layers of resonance within, how beautifully you describe the nature of rising up from the depths of our being, and then being carried to the openness in our pure loving heart – just such a joy to read and be with your poem.

These lines, «as dreams
go by, while we watch from the
sidelines» and the ones that follow have so much hope and happiness.
Things may be stark when we look back at the time that was but the sun will shine forth, like it always does 🙂

I love how you rise from «the joy drowned» in the depths of the sea….to witnessing where
«here
is trust,
as love bourgeons
under an open sun…» Your journey between the depths and the open sky is so gracefully written, so deliciously woven with love and the acceptance that pain is part of it too..but love and trust in the end, flourishes in reward.,,,Just beautiful Jeff..🌹

What a delightful reflection, dear Karima. You see it so clearly, as always. It is so true to me that pain is a part of it, yet love always lives inside of the pain too. Always there, as you write. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this lovely reflection, my dear friend. 🌹
