Masticadores.- Why do you write?

Yes.

M.- Since when do you write? Was there a specific moment that prompted you to start writing?

5^th grade. In tiny hand writing. I still have the story. I begged my teacher to read it. He, Mr. Silverman, told me he needed to use a magnifying glass to read the words.

I started writing ‘again’ before my son was born. It was during this time that I joined WordPress and accidentally wrote poetry.

M.- In your daily workday, how much time do you spend writing? Do you have a ritual before facing the blank page?

I don’t have a daily workday. I spend random amounts of time on writing. I do not have a ritual before facing the blank page. However, I do have a secret for unlocking how to begin if beginning is difficult.

M.- Are you a compass or a map writer?

I don’t know. I need to research the meaning.

M.- What would you like to review about your literary work?

Why I didn’t edit.

M.- What do you think about new technologies as instruments for the writer. Do they help or hinder?

In the case of WordPress, it helps. When technology tosses icons in front of your curser, it hurts.

M.- Publishing in digital, does it change your methods of inspiration or work?

No. And No.

M.- Do you think that accessing the reader who reads on a tablet, computer or mobile phone, in different spaces, for example, train, bus, metro, can help you be more read?

I think a writer ought to write.

M.- Do you think that, during The Pandemic, loneliness and isolation influenced your network of contacts? Did your readers increase?

Yes. My readers did increase. I was alone much and long before the pandemic. Alone is not a new thing to me.

M.- Self-publishing or editorial? Do you think there are still misgivings in contemplating desktop publishing to publish a work?

Editorial. Unless you’ve literally left your blood on your work and they are ready to accept your truth.

M.- Do you think Masticadores’s bet in the search for that digital reader is correct? What’s your opinion about it?

Tell life it can’t. The digital reader is life as is the eye directing the brain.

M.-Participation as a writer in Masticadores, is it being positive? What has it given you?

Yes. I am hurt. I have little to give for submission. I know I can write. Masticadores has given me precious time.

 M.- What would you say is your hallmark as a writer?

Raw. So raw an agent in NYC told me within minutes that he could not touch my manuscript.

M.-Tell us about your latest project. Are you working on a new one today?

Life is a large enough project. My five year old is grunting in back of me. I think I’ll play with him.
